An Allen teacher lost nearly $50,000 last month after a scammer told her that her identity had been stolen.Leslie Wilbanks, a math and physical education teacher at Curtis Middle School in Allen, was the victim of a scam that used her financial information and spoofed phone numbers to convince her she was talking to government official, WFAA-TV (Channel 8) reported.Wilbanks received three calls one day in March from a number her phone displayed as belonging to the U.S. government.
