Houston Flight Bound for Germany Diverts to New York City After Bomb Threat

A flight from Houston bound for Germany Monday night diverted to JFK Airport in New York City after a bomb threat was called into Lufthansa airline.The flight of 530 passengers left Texas at 4:10 p.m. and was supposed to arrive in Frankfurt Tuesday morning, NBC News reports. The pilot was alerted to the threat and landed at JFK. The passengers were evacuated at 9:30 p.m. and a K-9 unit searched the plane in a remote area soon after, government officials told the outlet.
