Heard on the Street: Is Honda Eyeing a Move to North Texas?

North Texas is Toyota country.Since the big Japanese automaker relocated it's North American headquarters to Plano in 2017, the Dallas-Fort Worth area has been one of the country's top automotive industry hubs.If Toyota got the itch to move to Texas, how about other auto firms?The word up in Collin County is that another of Japan's iconic auto brands is eyeing a move to D-FW.Real estate brokers and property owners along the north end of the Dallas North Tollway say that representatives for Honda have scouted potential locations for a major office or relocation of its North American headquarters.Honda's U.S. operations are now based in Torrance, the same Southern California town that Toyota traded for Plano's $3 billion Legacy West development.   Continue reading...
