Grand Prairie Driver Dies After Colliding With Trees

A driver in Grand Prairie died in a collision around 11 a.m. Monday, police said.Police said the driver was driving southbound at a high speed along Belt Line Road near Palos Verdes Drive, when the driver didn't follow a curve in the road and drove off the roadway.The car, a 2006 Toyota Corolla, collided with several trees. Firefighters had to extricate the driver from the wreckage, police said. There was no one else in the car, and no other vehicles were involved.The victim was transported to Medical City Arlington where she died. Her name is not being released pending notification of next of kin.Police said this was the fourth traffic death in Grand Prairie this year.  Continue reading...
