Fourth Suspect Arrested in String of Armed Robberies Thought to Target Hispanics in Mesquite

A Dallas teen has been arrested in connection with a series of armed robberies that police believe targeted Hispanic apartment residents in Mesquite.Joshua Lovie Smith, 17, of Dallas, was one of four individuals identified as suspects in the case. The other three, all juveniles, were arrested last week but have not been identified.The seven robberies took place between Feb. 14 and March 8. All were committed overnight between the hours of 11:30 p.m. and 4:30 a.m.In each case, victims were walking to or from their apartment.Smith was charged with aggravated robbery and credit card abuse.  Continue reading...
