Former Texas Rep. Rodney Anderson Elected Chairman of Dallas County Republican Party

Republican precinct chairs have elected former state Rep. Rodney Anderson to lead the Dallas County GOP, a party reeling over frequent changes in leadership and steep losses to Democrats at the ballot box.Anderson replaces Missy Shorey, who died last month in Washington. He is the fifth person to lead Dallas County Republicans since 2014, and the first former state lawmaker since Kenn George to serve as chairman.Anderson could not be reached for comment Tuesday."He sounds like he has just the right kind of attitude to continue Missy's quest of expanding the party and being open and inviting new people and not taking any neighborhood for granted," said Mark Davis, the host of a conservative talk show on 660-AM (The Answer).  Continue reading...
