Elderly Man Escapes, But Dog Dies in Central Oak Cliff House Fire

An elderly man escaped a house fire but lost his dog Tuesday night in central Oak Cliff.The fire broke out just before midnight in the 2700 block of South Llewellyn Avenue and was quickly brought under control, according to Dallas Fire-Rescue.The resident escaped to a neighbor's home and was treated for smoke inhalation at an area hospital, KDFW-TV (Channel 4) reported.The man lived alone with his dog, who did not survive, officials said.  Continue reading...
