Irving-based apartment builder JPI has broken ground on a new project in Grapevine.The 371-unit Jefferson Silverlake rental community will be located at State Highway 26 and Bass Pro Drive near Kubota Tractor's new U.S. headquarters.It's part of a mixed-use development that includes hotels, retail and office space."This submarket has shown tremendous growth in the last couple of years," Matt Brendel, senior vice president and development partner at JPI, said in a statement. "We are excited about the opportunity to deliver such a high-quality community in an ideal location."The Grapevine project is just the latest in a series of recent apartment project starts by JPI.The developer just announced plans for a 364-unit apartment project in Garland near Bush Turnpike and the Telecom Corridor.And JPI is working on another apartment complex in the $700 million Gate development in Frisco's $5 billion mile.JPI is currently building 4,201 apartment homes in the Dallas-Fort Worth area with other projects on the way in California, Arizona and New York.
