Flashback: Take a look back into the archives of The Dallas Morning News.Dallas struck gold at the 1984 Olympics when a team of swimmers, two from Dallas, defeated the unbeatable German swimmer Michael Gross and set a world record on July 30, 1984, in "the most exciting race" the games had seen.
