Dallas Police Transfer Commander Who Is Under Investigation

Police officials said Maj. Vincent Weddington, a high ranking commander in the department, was transferred this week to the South Central Patrol division after he became the subject of a criminal investigation.In a statement, police spokesman Sgt. Warren Mitchell confirmed Weddington was reassigned. Weddington, who previously oversaw the Crimes Against Persons division, is under scrutiny for his role as a supervisor in an investigation of a fatal shooting that occurred on March 11, 2018.Mitchell declined to comment further, citing the ongoing investigation.When reached by phone on Thursday, Weddington declined to comment.   Continue reading...
