Dallas Police Searching for Attacker Who Fled After Rape in Uptown

Dallas police are asking for the public's help identifying a male who sexually assaulted a female in Uptown early Friday. The victim was in the 2500 block of McKinney Avenue when the male approached her just after 2:20 a.m., police said. He pushed her to the ground and assaulted her.The victim screamed and fought back against her assailant before he fled north on Routh Street, police said.Police described the suspect as a Hispanic male of unknown age who is 5-10 and weighs between 160 and 180 pounds. He has black hair that was combed back during the attack and was wearing rubber work boots and dark clothing, police said. Dallas police urged residents in the area to be vigilant and report anyone who matches the suspect description to authorities. In February, police arrested a man accused of raping a woman in an Uptown parking garage. His DNA was also linked to a 2017 sexual assault in West Village, police said.  Continue reading...
