Dallas Police Say Activist Dominique Alexander Shoved, Head-butted Woman in Altercations

Dallas activist Dominique Alexander shoved a woman around his home, causing her to break one of her toes, police said in an arrest warrant affidavit.Alexander, who has denied attacking the woman, was arrested Thursday on two domestic violence charges — one felony and one misdemeanor. The two incidents — the latest charges against Alexander, a prominent and well-connected protest leader who has a lengthy rap sheet that includes a 2015 domestic violence accusation — occurred April 10 and April 15, police said.In the first incident, the woman told police she saw Alexander yelling at his children and asked him why he was angry. Alexander then turned his ire toward her and got into an argument, which turned physical, police said. Alexander allegedly shoved the woman around, causing her to hit her foot on furniture and break her toe. She told police she fell to the couch and Alexander tried to strangle her.
