Dallas Man Went on Shopping Spree With Co-worker's Credit Card After Killing Him, Cops Say

A Dallas man who is accused of fatally shooting his co-worker during a robbery at his Mesquite home used the victim's credit card to go on a shopping spree after the shooting, court documents show.Brayshun Terrill Jones, 22, and his girlfriend, 23-year-old Shatoria Dashun Jefferson, each face a capital murder charge in the death of Raul Garcia-Torres.Garcia-Torres, 50, was found shot in his driveway on Jan. 3 in the 2600 block of Larchmont Drive in Mesquite. He died a short time later at a local hospital. Detectives believe the couple followed Garcia-Torres home from work and shot him.While at the scene, detectives noticed Garcia-Torres' phone was receiving fraud alerts from his bank asking him to confirm purchases that were being made at a Foot Locker in east Oak Cliff, according to arrest warrants.Investigators obtained surveillance footage from the Foot Locker that showed Jones at the store with his roommate an hour after the shooting. The duo appeared to try to cover their faces as they used Garcia-Torres' credit card to buy shoes from the store, according to the warrants.  Continue reading...
