A Coppell ISD middle school teacher accused of inappropriate behavior with a student was arrested Monday on campus, officials say. The Dallas County Sheriff's Department arrested Julie Jenkin Brewer, 45, about 3:30 p.m. at Coppell Middle School West in the 2700 block of Ranch Trail in Dallas. Officials had received a complaint about alleged inappropriate text and social media messages between Brewer and a student, sheriff's department spokesman Raul Reyna said. Brewer was interviewed and faces a charge of online solicitation of a minor. Staff and parents were notified of her arrest in a letter Monday afternoon. Brewer resigned and is no longer allowed on any Coppell ISD campus or facility. The State Board for Educator Certification has also been notified, Reyna said.
