Jurors began deliberating Friday in the trial of a fired Dallas police officer accused of driving dangerously when he struck a fleeing bicyclist with his squad car in 2013. Bryan Burgess, 31, is accused of criminally negligent homicide in the death of 51-year-old Fred Bradford Jr. The jury must consider several questions before delivering a verdict:Was the suspicion of a drug deal enough to justify police chasing a bicyclist onto a wet, grassy area under a highway overpass where homeless people were known to camp at night?
