4-vehicle Crash Shuts Down Northbound Dallas North Tollway Lanes Through Rush Hour in Plano

A four-vehicle crash that happened Wednesday night in Plano will probably keep northbound lanes of the Dallas North Tollway closed until well after rush hour, DPS officials said.The crash occurred around 11 p.m. near Windhaven Parkway and began when a Ford Mustang hit a BMW, according to Department of Public Safety spokesman Lonny Haschel. The impact caused the Mustang to spin out and crash into two other vehicles.The drivers in the spin-out crash were not seriously injured, Haschel said, but the driver of the BMW and one passenger were hospitalized in unknown condition.The driver of the Mustang was arrested and could face charges of driving while intoxicated, Haschel said.Traffic in the area was diverted to access roads, and Haschel said cleanup and investigation could keep northbound lanes closed through rush hour.  Continue reading...
