4 Arrested After Reports of Sex Trafficking at Northwest Dallas Massage Parlors

Dallas police investigating allegations of sex trafficking at three northwest Dallas massage parlors arrested four suspects Wednesday and detained several people they believe could be sex trafficking victims.In fall 2018, officials received several tips about Jasmine, Passion and Charming, all of which are owned by a single group of operators and housed in a building in the 11000 block of Emerald Street, southwest of Interstate 35E and Royal Lane.Investigators say they confirmed that prostitution was taking place at each of the businesses and uncovered indications that some of the workers could be victims of sex trafficking.Four suspects were charged with aggravated promotion of prostitution and arrested Wednesday.Pornthipa Khan, 54, was arrested in Honolulu, Hawaii by the US Marshals Task Force. Lewisville police helped Dallas officials arrest 53-year-old Steven Eix in a Lewisville home. Joseph Maric, 42, and Yenrudee Anunson, 44, were arrested in a neighborhood in Commerce.Police also took several people into custody at the northwest Dallas building, and are working to determine whether they are victims of sex trafficking.
