Police arrested a 31-year-old man Monday in connection with the fatal shooting of a man at a Lake Highlands hotel last month. Cicero Leonard Louisjean now faces one count of murder. He remains in the Dallas County jail in lieu of $500,000 bond.According to Louisjean's arrest affidavit, he, an acquaintance identified only as "EZ" and two other people went to Room 3204 of the Regency Inn hotel in the 11000 block of LBJ Freeway around 4 a.m. on Dec. 11.Inside the room were Stephen Egana and three other people. One of the witnesses later told police that Louisjean, EZ and the others appeared to be high when they entered the room.Following a brief discussion between some of the individuals in the room about some tennis shoes that one of them had bought for $100, Egana tried to usher Louisjean, EZ and the others out of the room.As they were walking towards the door, Louisjean turned and fired a gun, striking Egana in the stomach. Louisjean and the others fled the location. The people in the room with Egana called 911. First responders rushed Egana to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead around 5:28 a.m.Louisjean was later identified in a photo lineup by some of the witnesses to the shooting.
