21 Fighting Dogs Among Nearly 40 Seized, Along With Accessories, in Southeast Dallas

Thirty-nine dogs, more than half of them "fighting dogs," have been seized from a southeast Dallas property, the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) of Texas announced on its Facebook page Thursday.The operation, conducted by the Dallas County District Attorney's Office's animal-cruelty unit, Dallas Police Department and Dallas Animal Services along with the SPCA, took place late Wednesday.Along with 18 fighting dogs, authorities late Wednesday night removed 11 other dogs and seven puppies from the site as well as dog-fighting paraphernalia such as steroids, antibiotics, chains, a treadmill and medical supplies.Thursday morning, three more fighting dogs were seized from the same area.  Continue reading...
