2 Men Charged With Murder After Man Shot in Fort Worth Home-invasion Robbery Dies

Two men have been charged with capital murder following the death of a Fort Worth man who was shot in a home-invasion robbery early Tuesday.Cameron Jerrell Marble, 22, and David Sharray Shelton, 21, were being held without bail Thursday at the Tarrant County jail.Police said that three masked robbers burst through the front door of an apartment in the 2900 block of Phoenix Drive about 3:30 a.m. Tuesday. The apartment's resident, 26-year-old David Allen Plotts, was shot during the robbery. He was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital, where he died Wednesday afternoon.The robbers fled after the shooting, and Marble and Shelton were arrested Tuesday night, police records show.Marble also is being held on charges of evading arrest and unlawful possession of a firearm, as well as a parole violation. Shelton faces three counts of aggravated robbery, one count of domestic-violence assault, one count of unlawful carrying of a weapon and two counts of marijuana possession, according to jail records.Police have not released any information about a third suspect.  Continue reading...
