2 Drivers Shot Dead in Separate Dallas Incidents

Two drivers were fatally shot in separate incidents early Sunday, police said. Officers were dispatched to Lake Highlands and downtown Dallas for the incidents between about 2 and 3 a.m. Lake Highlands shootingA 31-year-old man drove away after he was was shot while sitting in a car Sunday morning, but crashed about three blocks away in Lake Highlands, police said. Carlos Ayala was in a car about 1:50 a.m. at the apartments at 11333 Amanda Lane when he was approached by two suspects who shot him, police said. The suspects fled the scene and Ayala left the complex in his vehicle. He wrecked about three blocks away in the intersection of McCree and Pandora, police said.
