2 Dogs, Guinea Pig Killed in North Richland Hills House Fire

A family's three pets died Thursday morning when a blaze broke out at their North Richland Hills home when they weren't there, fire officials said. Heavy smoke was spotted about 11:30 a.m. coming from the one-story brick home in the 6900 block of Southampton Drive, near Rufe Snow Drive. Firefighters arrived to find flames coming from the roof of the home. The family's two dogs and a guinea pig died in the fire, North Richland Hills fire officials said. Keller, Watauga and Bedford assisted with fighting the flames. The cause of the fire is under investigation.   Continue reading...
