2 Dallas Fire Stations Shut Down After Sewage Backups Make Them ‘unlivable'

Two Dallas fire stations have been temporarily closed after sewage backups at both locations.Firefighters, engines and other resources have been moved this week and last from Station 41 at 5920 Royal Lane in Preston Hollow and Station 42 at 3333 W. Mockingbird Lane, near Love Field."Conditions in the fire stations are unlivable," fire department spokesman Jason Evans said. "Sewage and fecal matter are coming into the stations."A third, Station 43 in northwest Dallas, was closed Tuesday because of a gas leak.
