Bolsa Chef Graham Dodds fielded questions following a special screening of Vanishing of the Bees last night at the Kessler Theatre, but one audience member proved too tough for the locavore whiz: His mother. Dodds was on stage describing the local ingredients used in last night's menu of butternut squash soup sprinkled with local bee pollen, and blue cheese-stuffed figs, when one question from the audience caused the packed theatre of Cliff Dwellers to fill with laughter. “How about the figs, Graham?” Knowingly asked an adorable little lady from the row of seats facing the panelists. “Where are those from?” Dodds’ mouth let out a grin and admitted that the figs were not local, then laughed and added, “Thanks for calling me out, mom.” Check out the pictures from last night’s screening!
