Reading proficiency by third grade is the most important predictor of high school graduation. The International NET XChange Group is a participant of the North Texas Giving Day, on Thursday, September 18th from 6:00 a.m. to midnight. The campaign slogan is “Let Literacy Rain!” Their mission is to give FREE books to kids, families and school libraries in under-served communities.
The International NET XChange Group takes students from the playground to the boardroom through their literacy and social skills training called ABC2SAT™. Their puppet characters, Locket and Pocket Socket, teach children the importance of reading and writing.
NET XChange is passionate about promoting its campaign; we must invest in our children before they become a statistic that says: 2 out of 5 fourth graders cannot read at basic level. That’s 40%! For the students in Texas, our goal is high school graduation for ALL! It starts with reading.
