Thursday afternoon's episode of "Days of Our Lives" was preempted due to NBC News' special coverage of the memorial for the late Rep. John Lewis at Atlanta's Ebenezer Baptist Church, a sacred place for many of those who helped to shape civil rights history. Lewis died July 17 at the age of 80.
"Days of Our Lives" will now air Friday morning at 3 a.m.
