Lady Gaga is officially throwing a temper tantrum.
The pop diva has threatened to sue a London shop for selling breast milk ice cream under the name “Baby Gaga.”
The singer’s attorneys have sent a letter to the bosses at Icecreamists demanding they change the name of the strange treat.
It’s unclear how the “Born This Way” star feels about actual breastfeeding, but she’s less than thrilled about her brand being linked to a product that contains human milk.
“Associating the Lady Gaga mark with a food product which may be unsafe for human consumption (owing to the risk of it carrying such viruses as hepatitis) is also highly detrimental,” her legal team wrote in the letter.
Matt O’Connor, the owner of the ice cream parlor, told the Guardian that the superstar performer does not own the word “gaga.”
“She claims we have ridden the coattails of her reputation,” O'Connor said. “As someone who has…recycled on an industrial scale the entire back catalogue of pop culture to create her look, music and videos, she might want to reconsider this allegation.”
According to UPI, “Baby Gaga” may be pulled from store shelves due to health concerns before the debate gets any further.
