Willkommen, y'all! NBC 5 and Oktoberfest Fort Worth invite you to lace up your lederhosen, start practicing your yodeling skills and join us at Panther Island Pavilion for an authentic three-day German celebration Sept. 22 - 24.
The celebration kicks off on Thursday, September 22nd, with bier, German games, dancing and the Tapping of the Kegs Ceremony. Local community leaders will officially tap the first kegs of Spaten by hammering a bronze spout into the kegs with a wooden mallet without spilling any bier.
Other activities include: a bier barrel rolling race, a bier wench stein carrying contest, a stein hoisting competition, a dachshund dash, live music from Brave Combo, Alpine Village Band, Walburg Boys, and much more!
On the last day of the event, you can take part in the Run und Ride. This includes, a 5K timed race, a fun run or a 15 mile bike ride on Saturday morning. Registration includes free admission to the event on Saturday, September 24th.
