Odor's Recent Struggles Masked by Cult Hero Status

Over a span of 10 games, Rougned Odor had multiple hits in eight of them heading into Thursday's game against the Chicago White Sox.

Since then, he's struggled with just two hits in his last five games, including Sunday's when he was the hero of DFW for decking the hated Blue Jays outfielder Jose Bautista, cementing his status as folk hero in Texas as well as several AL East cities whose fan bases all hate Bautista, as well.

He's now hitting .091 in his last 22 at-bats, including an 0-for-4 day in the leadoff spot on Monday night in Oakland. His two hits in those 22 at-bats are singles.

It's only a matter of time before Odor has to sit for a handful of games to serve his suspension — likely anywhere from 3-10 games, depending on how MLB feels and on what kind of appeal he gets.

You'd hope he can get back on the right track before that suspension kicks in.
