Cruz Continues to Haunt Tigers

You think Ian Kinsler was excited about seeing his former Texas Rangers teammate in the opposing dugout for the American League Division Series, with both players in their new clubhouses?

I seriously doubt it, and on Sunday, Cruz showed why the Detroit Tigers might never want to face the Baltimore Orioles slugger ever again, especially not in the postseason.

Cruz mashed his eighth career postseason homer against Detroit on Sunday, helping propel the Orioles to an improbable three-game sweep of Kinsler's new team, the Tigers, as the Orioles beat their third AL Cy Young winner in as many games, winning the series 3-0 in convincing fashion.

If you remember, it was Cruz who took home ALCS MVP honors in 2011 when the Rangers topped the Tigers in six games to advance to their second straight World Series after he hit six home runs in the six games to go with 13 RBIs.

Cruz is a free agent this winter and will be deciding on his future, which should be a multi-year deal considering his 40-homer year this season. The Tigers might just cross their fingers that Cruz decides to get out of the AL altogether.
