Christopher Nolan Promises "Inception" Will Be Bigger Than Batman

While deciphering director Christopher Nolan's new film "Inception" can seem as easy as powering through a Sunday crossword in 20 minutes or less, the director says the premise of his new enigmatic thriller is "corporate espionage by way of dream invasion."

Oh, okay, we're so glad he cleared that up.

Sounding sort of like a dip into the Matrix by way of James Bond, Nolan does make one thing very clear; "The Dark Knight" was a cakewalk compared to the grandeur of this project.

Nolan makes one thing very clear: "Inception," which sounds like sort of a dip into the "Matrix" by way of James Bond, made "The Dark Knight" look like a cakewalk.

The film, whose cast list reads like the front page of Variety with Leonardo DiCaprio, Marion Cotillard, Cillian Murphy, Michael Caine, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Ellen Page and Ken Watanabe, is "the biggest challenge I've taken on to this point," Nolan, who may return to Gotham City for his next feature, says.

"We're trying to tell a story on a massive scale, a true blockbuster scale – the biggest I've ever been involved with. We tried to make a very large-scale film with 'The Dark Knight' and with this one we wanted to push that even further."

If only we didn't have to wait until July 16 to witness the spectacle.
