This was my vacuum. She was good - not great - but good. Reliable. Got most of it.
She broke this weekend. More specifically, the hose to the hand-held attachment tore completely - rendering part of the vacuum useless after 2 years of pretty solid performance.
I didn't freak, I didn't worry about the cost of replacing. In fact, I was a little bit giddy. Why? I bought her at Costco.

I called to make sure I was remembering correctly - and the friendly customer service representative confirmed it.
Costco would offer me the full purchase price in return for my broken vacuum. No receipt required.
We rushed over last night, returned our former vacuum with a gleeful "Good-bye" and ran to see what our $150 would buy us. There is no way I would consider buying the replacement anywhere else.
We're now the proud owners of a brand-new Eureka vacuum. Total upgrade cost: $10.
I heart Costco.
