Witten: Cowboys Haven't Lost Confidence in Romo

Jason Witten says Tony Romo's fourth quarter struggles against the Packers hasn't rocked the team's confidence in him

Dallas Cowboys tight end Jason Witten knows Tony Romo as well as anyone at Valley Ranch, and he says his old friend has done a great job this week of not getting too down after last Sunday’s 37-36 loss to the Packers.

In that game, Romo helped the Cowboys cement their collapse with two 4th quarter interception.

He does a great job of handling that mentally and getting back to the next one,” Witten said, per the Dallas Morning News. “We’re lucky to have him as our quarterback.”

Witten went on to say that the Cowboys’ locker room remains firmly behind their quarterback.

“I don’t think anyone would ever lose confidence in him,” Witten said. “Everything we are and we’ve accomplished over the last few years that you believe in and you hold onto is because of him and what he creates week in and week out and day in and day out. I don’t think you look at a couple of plays and determine, I think that’d be foolish for anybody to do that.”
