Tyron Smith Dominates Rams' All-Pro

Smith held Robert Quinn to no sacks and no hurries on Sunday

Prior to Sunday’s matchup with the Cowboys, Rams All-Pro defensive end Robert Quinn predicted that his matchup with Cowboys Pro Bowl left tackle would be fun.

Tyron is definitely an athletic tackle,” Quinn said, per the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. “He’s well-deserving of everything he’s got, so it’s going to be a fun matchup.”

Only it didn’t turn out to be a very fun matchup at all, at least not for Quinn. He never once sacked Tony Romo, and didn’t even have a quarterback hurry. On the other hand, it was a banner day for Smith, who continues to make his case for being one of the best tackles in the NFL.

“I’m lucky to have Tyron as my left tackle,” said Romo. “He’s continuing to get better and better each year. It’s been great to see his development. There are a few guys like that. He’s doing a great job this year.”
