Tony Romo Back at Practice

Tony Romo was held out of practice on Monday

Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo returned to the field on Tuesday after being held out of the team’s workout on Monday, a precautionary move after he absorbed three sacks in Saturday night’s dress rehearsal game in Miami. It is the seventh practice he’s missed since training camp began in July.

Romo won’t be on the field on Thursday, when Dallas will host the Broncos at AT&T Stadium for the preseason finale, and the team won’t gather for a full practice again until this Saturday.

The week after that, the team will open up the regular season against the San Francisco 49ers, and Romo should be good to go for that one.

Romo, of course, is coming off a procedure to repair a herniated disk in his back back in December. At the time, it was the second back surgery he had undergone in a span of eight months.
