Romo, Crawford, and Ludacris Make the Most of a Snow Day

The onslaught of winter weather last week forced the official opening of a refurbished Pleasant Grove Field to be delayed. But that couldn’t stop rapper and actor Ludacris and Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo from joining forces to shovel out the newly redone football / soccer complex.

Starter refurbished the formerly-dilapidated field, providing it with a new scoreboard, ticket booth, bleachers and fencing, as well as soccer balls, basketballs and apparel, including hats and shirts.
Romo and Luda were joined by Romo’s fiancee and former local sportscaster Candice Crawford. The group was scheduled to unveil the new field in front of over 250 middle school and high school student-athletes, with Ludacris planning a surprise performance, but the ceremony was canceled due to inclement weather.

The community field was previously in a state that only allowed for practices, but after Starter’s makeover, the facility will be able to host games, as well.

Romo is a spokesperson for the athletic brand.
