Romo, Daly Set For Second Shot at Pebble Beach Pro-Am

For the second consecutive year, Dallas Cowboysquarterback Tony Romo and John Daly will team up for the Pebble Beach Pro-Am, which begins the day after the Super Bowl, Feburary 7, and runs through the 11th.

Romo and Daly failed to make the cut in their first go-round in 2010, which was documented on the Golf Channel’s “Being John Daly.” The team is at somewhat of a disadvantage, as ESPN Dallas pointed out yesterday, as Romo is a scratch golfer--meaning that they receive no strokes in the pro-am tournament.

Some fans will inevitably be incensed, as they always are, by Romo’s participation in the event, particularly since he is coming off a season-ending clavicle fracture. However, Romo has been cleared physically, and has said that he would have tried to play in the season finale at Philadelphia had he not been placed in injured reserve.
