Injury Watch: Ratliff Still Out With Groin Injury

The Cowboys were without a handful of starters in practice on Wednesday

A good chunk of starters were missing from the Cowboys’ first practice since that emotional victory over the Bengals in Cincinnati last Sunday, as the dinged-up squad nursed their wounds.

Per Calvin Watkins of ESPN Dallas, the group missing Wednesday included rookie cornerback Morris Claiborne, who suffered a facial laceration in the win; running back DeMarco Murray, who is still recovering from a foot injury that sidelined him for six games; Jay Ratliff (groin), Nate Livings (knee) and DeMarcus Ware (shoulder).

Claiborne and Ratliff notwithstanding, it seems that most of these guys were held out as a precautionary measure, rather than any inability to get on the field, and all except Ratliff played against the Bengals.

Unsurprisingly, receiver Dez Bryant missed as well, with that fractured index finger that’s threatening to cut his season short. He will reportedly seek a second opinion on the finger on Wednesday.
