Former Cowboys Cheerleader Making A Name In Hollywood

It’s a well known fact that the Dallas Cowboys have the hottest, most delightful and jiggly cheerleaders on the planet; but one former member of the squad has proved that these ladies aren’t all pretty looks and slow-mo-worthy dance moves.

Sarah Shahi, a Euless native and SMU alum, moved to Hollywood shortly after her season-long (1999-2000) career of rousing fans as a Cowboys cheerleader came to a close. A decade later, she is a bona fide name-in-town, starring in the new USA Network drama “Fairly Legal”--which is worth watching, if for no other reason, because she’s really, really, ridiculously good-looking. Really.

Shahi is no great football fan--dismaying, maybe, but we assure you we’ll forgive her--but credits the rigorous auditioning process for the DCC with preparing her with life in Hollywood.

"Cheerleading was my way in,” Shahi said, per USA Today. “It was one of the most rigorous audition processes ever. It definitely groomed me for Hollywood. I'd never been a cheerleader, but I'd danced. And I was captain of the volleyball team and the basketball team, and I ran track."

For further information on Sarah Shahi, consult your local library. Better yet, just do a Google image search.
