Fantasy Land: Studs and Duds, Week 14

A two-time champion in a hardcore keeper league, including some know-it-all media "experts", who just so happens to be 3-10 in said league this year, Adam Boedeker gives his fantasy expertise on a weekly basis.

Stud of the Week

Eli Manning, QB, NYG — Manning has the most favorable matchup a quarterback in the NFL can have this season as he hosts the New Orleans Saints on Sunday looking to rebound from a Monday night loss to division foe Washington. Only two quarterbacks this year have had a game at all resembling a clunker as four quarterbacks have had stellar games against the Saints' porous pass defense.

Honorable mention: Brandon Weeden, CLE (vs. KC); DeMarco Murray, DAL (at CIN); Steven Jackson, STL (at BUF); Torrey Smith, BAL (at WAS).

Dud of the Week

Chad Henne, QB, JAC — Since taking over for Blaine Gabbert against Houston and lighting up the Texans' pass defense for more than 400 yards, Henne was one of the top free agent pickups in fantasy football. But last week he came back down to Earth a bit. This week, he faces a pretty solid pass defense in the New York Jets and he will most likely do so with limited to no service from his top receiver, Cecil Shorts, who suffered a concussion last week, has passed a concussion test but has yet to practice.

Honorable mention: Justin Blackmon, JAC (vs. NYJ); Darren McFadden, OAK (vs. DEN); Tony Romo, DAL (at CIN); Larry Fitzgerald, ARI (at SEA).
