Dez “Lucky” to Face Carr, Claiborne in Practice

Dez Bryant believes facing CBs Brandon Carr and Mo Claiborne in practice is only making him better

One of the more intriguing matchups through the first two weeks of Cowboys Training Camp has been wide receiver Dez Bryant versus second-year cornerback (and fellow, former first-rounder) Morris Claiborne.

From the reports we’ve read, Bryant has gotten the better of Claiborne more often than not. But that isn’t to say Bryant hasn’t been impressed by the LSU product. In fact, Bryant believes Claiborne can become one of the best corners in the league--and he believes the man who plays opposite Claiborne, Brandon Carr, is already there.

Those are two great corners,” Bryant told 105.3-FM The Fan this week, via the Dallas Morning News. “I’m lucky to go up against two guys like that because they’re great, especially Mo. He’s going to be one of the best corners in this league. They’re both physical.

“Brandon Carr is already one of the top guys. I feel like guys are going to be talking about him more this year because he is that great player. I feel like by me going against him, it makes me better. It makes it that much more easier for me when I go out there and play every Sunday.”
