Cowboys Need Wake-Up Call, Chiefs Lead 10-3 At Half

Statistically the Cowboys are winning this game. Unfortunately for them, that's not what counts. Two-turnovers have led to 10 Kansas City Chiefs points, they lead it 10-3 at half time.

Up until the final drive of the first half, the Cowboys offense had been flat. Tony Romo started the game 7-7, but missed a wide open Miles Austin, that later led to a Nick Folk missed field goal.

After the defense held on the ensuing possession, Patrick Crayton fumbled the punt leading to a Ryan Succop field goal. The sloppiness continued when Romo fumbled an Andre Gurode snap. Just like that, Matt Cassel hit Mike Vrabl, and the Chiefs were up 10-0.

The Cowboys were able to drive down the field just before half time. However, Miles Austin dropped a touchdown, and Sam Hurd didn't do Tony Romo any favors on the next play. Nick Folk tacked on a field goal to get the Cowboys on the board.

The season rides on this next 30-minutes of football. A loss spell disaster. A win will give them much needed confidence going into the bye week.
