Click Clack: Austin In Talks With Under Armour

Less than a week after rookie receiver Dez Bryant ended his five-month relationship with Under Armour, the athletic wear giant may have their sights set on another Dallas Cowboys wide-out.

Multiple sources have reported that Miles Austin is in talks with the company concerning an endorsement deal and, though nothing is yet official, the breakout star of 2009 has been wearing Under Armour cleats in practice now for several weeks. Austin said that he wants to make sure the relationship is a good fit (pun intended) before moving forward.

Which might have been Bryant's mistake. He said after breaking with UA that he wasn't comfortable in the shoes provided him--a pretty good sign that a change is in order, as far as shoes are concerned. Since being drafted, Bryant has worn Nike, with the notable exception of the cover of April's edition of Eastbay, on which Bryant is decorated in head-to-toe Under Armour.

"Endorsement-wise, I want to be with a growing company and a pure product," Austin said, per the Dallas Morning News. "That's why I'm talking to these guys and holding off on some others. You don't want to do something just for right now and end up in the long run feeling like you're kind of stuck."
