Bruce Carter Expects to Return This Week

Carter has missed the past three games with a strained quad

Dallas Cowboys linebacker Bruce Carter is glad the team is slated to face the Washington Redskins on Monday, giving him an extra day to recover from the strained right quad that has kept him out for the past three games.

It’s huge,” Carter said of the scheduling, per Rainer Sabin of the Dallas Morning News. “Any time you can steal a day that can help with an injury or get your body back 100 percent, it’s a big deal.”

Before his injury, Carter had stacked up 25 tackles, a sack and an interception. He said after Sunday’s win over the Giants that he’ll return to practice this week, and expects to play against the Redskins.

“They’ll work me in and do different things and see how it goes from here,” Carter said.
