AARP Presents: An Evening with Frank Abagnale

Thursday, August 15

Join the AARP for An Evening with Frank Abagnale on Thursday, August 15, from 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at the Eisemann Center in Richardson. The free discussion will be followed by a Q&A session and a meet and greet segment. Registration is required.

Frank W. Abagnale was a con artist so famous his exploits were depicted in the Steven Spielberg film “Catch Me If You Can.” From the ages of 16 to 21, Abagnale successfully posed as an airline pilot, an attorney and a doctor. He cashed millions in fraudulent checks.

Since being caught, Abagnale has advised the FBI on how to outsmart con artists. Now, Abagnale is coming to Richardson for a presentation on learning to spot and avoid scams so you can protect yourself and your family. Abagnale is one of the world’s most respected authorities on forgery, embezzlement and secure documents.

The American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) is committed to safeguarding Americans’ financial futures which is why they have the AARP Fraud Watch Network.  It is a free resource to help you protect yourself and your family from ID theft and scams.

The AARP is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization with a membership that helps people 50+ have independence, choice, and control in ways that are beneficial and affordable to them and society as a whole.
