Each Wednesday of the State Fair of Texas, NBC 5 and Kroger invite fairgoers to bring a minimum of three (3) canned food items to the fair to receive admission for only $3 during the It’s a Fair Deal Food Drive. All of the canned food collected will be donated to the North Texas Food Bank.

Founded in 1982, the North Texas Food Bank is a Dallas nonprofit hunger relief organization that distributes donated, purchased and prepared foods through a network of more than 250 partner agencies in 13 counties. As a member of Feeding American, the North Texas Food Bank supports the nutritional needs of children, families and seniors through education, advocacy and strategic partnerships.
