Northbound Interstate 35E Reopens Near Dallas Zoo After Crash

    A tractor-trailer overturned, blocking all northbound lanes of Interstate 35E near Marsalis Avenue in Dallas. (Published Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2015)

    Northbound Interstate 35E at Marsalis Avenue near the Dallas Zoo was reopened Tuesday morning,   several hours after a crash involving a tractor-trailer and at least one other vehicle.

    The crash was reported at about 3:24 p.m. Tuesday.

    Emergency crews extinguished a fire at the scene that had been producing a large column of black smoke visible for several miles.

    Two people had minor injuries following the crash, police said.

    Authorities reopened the interstate at about 3:15 a.m. Wednesday.
