Opening Doors Rather Than Closing Them

Two North Texas shopping centers welcome new tenants

The country may be seeing tough economic times, but shhh! Don't tell that to two North Texas shopping centers.

The Shops at Willow Bend in Plano welcomed a new tenant, Adrenalina, on Monday. The first of its kind in Texas, customers at the extreme sports store who tire of shopping can try their luck at indoor surfing.

Adrenalina is one of five new stores opening at Willow Bend this year. Others include clothing and accessories store A’Gaci, Dimples Cupcakes, a Nike store, Pure Beauty and a restaurant called Savannah’s.

Dallas' West Village -- which debuted in 2001, the same year as Willow Bend -- has recently welcomed five new tenants, including massage clinic Massage Envy.

"It’s in such a great area, with a lot of walking traffic," said clinic administrator Jennifer Browder. "It’s just a good, fun area."

Massage Envy said it’s been very pleased its sales since opening its West Village location in late December.

Other new additions at West Village include clothing and accessory store Assembly, toy and gift store Froggie’s, Smooth Moves and PointMobil.
