Hot Launch: Salvage House

Tracey Popken debuted her label, Salvage House, last weekend with a fete at Zola's Everyday Vintage in Dallas' Bishop Arts District.

It was an appropriate venue -- Zola's helped Popken launch her vintage redesign business, after all. Expanding her considerable talents into a very wearable line of dresses inspired by the excellent construction she spied in the vintage pieces she handles was the natural next step for Salvage House.

Consisting of day-to-night dresses in lightweight, colorful cottons and seersuckers, the standouts in the line are a navy fitted sheath with narrow straps and suede trim, and a cream mini dress with an exaggerated exposed zipper.

We also loved the camel and cream printed wrap dress with cap sleeves; it's adorable and perfect for springtime work or play.

Shop Salvage House by appointment at Popken's studio; it's a treat for the eyes and wardrobe since she's renovating the historical space (and blogging about it here). Contact Popken at 469.323.9481.
