Zoo debuts stage show featuring exotic and Texas-native animals

The Fort Worth Zoo announced Friday that a scripted, interactive live animal show called “Lone Star Mystery” will debut on Saturday, May 5.

The new exhibit, which will run four times daily throughout the spring and summer, features a variety of animal suspects in the interactive mystery including porcupines, alligators, hawks, a turkey, goats, owls, a coati and more.

Also debuting on May 5 are the all-new, one-on-one Wild Encounters (keeper chats, live feedings, enrichment encounters, etc.) happening daily at 20 animal exhibits throughout the Zoo.

Guests will have the opportunity to ask questions and learn about the Zoo's conservation and animal training efforts.

The oldest zoo in Texas, the Fort Worth Zoo was founded in 1909 with one lion, two bear cubs, an alligator, a coyote, a peacock and a few rabbits. From these humble beginnings, the Zoo has grown into a nationally ranked facility, housing nearly 7,000 native and exotic animals. Learn more here.
